When Memorial Day is commemorated Monday May 27th, Ross County solemnities will begin in Grandview Cemetery.

See more of the the history, architecture, and personages of Chillicothe’s scenic Grandview Cemetery just before you experience it Memorial Day.

The 1-1/2 hour walking tour begins 2pm Sunday, May 26th, 2019, at the Renick stone wall.

Local historian and guide Kevin Coleman will speak on the graveyard that was there before the cemetery, the funerary architecture and symbolism in the monuments, the historic quarry at the rim, the history around the site, the geology of the location, and even what you see in the grand views.

Tickets for Kevin’s tour are $10 for adults…and $5 for kids who listen and learn (but double if they don’t!).
