We would like to thank you all for a wonderful year in 2015! Monday we celebrated our 3rd Annual Tourism Banquet. We had an amazing turnout this year thanks to all of our partners in tourism.

Guest Speaker Mary Cusick with Tourism Ohio spoke on Ohio’s new brand “Find it here.” The new brand shows just how amazing our Sate is. Joy, love, happiness and so much more can be found in Ohio. The new branding shows how much Ohio has to offer!

Every year at the Banquet, The Ross-Chillicothe Convention and Visitors Bureau presents awards to “The Best of the Best in Hospitality”. We are thankful for those who took the time to nominate all of the wonderful people in our community. We hope these numbers continue to grow each year.

We would like to congratulate the winners from each category and those who were nominated as well.

Justin Flitton from Quality Inn-Chillicothe was awarded Front Line Associate of the Year. Justin has over came many obstacles in his life and is a wonderful staff member of the Quality Inn. He goes above and behind his job duties to make sure guest are pleased with their stay here in Chillicothe.

Michael Beery from Tri-County Triangle Trail was awarded Volunteer of the Year. Michael dedicates many hours and uses his own tools to make sure that the Tri-County Triangle Trail is safe and clean. This is a hard job to do with such a long bicycle trail, but Michael keeps the trails in great condition for the bike riders in our community as well as visitors.

Richard Doliber from Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama was awarded Behind the Scenes Associate of the Year. When you go to enjoy the show during the Summer Season you may not see Richard. However, he is there hard at work! Richard works not just during the shows season but before and after as well. He works hard to make sure the maintenance is kept up on the buildings, mows the grass, gets dressing rooms ready for the actors, and much much more. He is a very important team member of the Tecumseh Staff and has dedicated many years.

Brandon Smith from Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama was awarded Director of the Year. Brandon is a wonderful director at Tecumseh. Not only does he work hard out at the Amphitheatre but he works hard out in our community. Brandon is always out in the community helping in any way he can. Fundraising, volunteering, and much more. We truly appreciate all of the hard work Brandon does for Ross County!

Joy Gough received this years Grand Pineapple Award. Joy has provided many wonderful pieces of art, maps, and more to our visitors. The most popular being Joy’s “Treasure Map.” This map is one of our most requested items from the Visitors Bureau. The map highlights Chillicothe-Ross County’s attractions and make it much easier for visitors to locate while they are here.
