Fall Fun in Ross County

The Fall activities are making their way to Ross County this weekend! Scioto Trail State Park will be kicking off the weekend of fun Friday night starting their weekend Harvest Days. Harvest Days begins on Friday and will come to an end on Sunday. They have so many great family activities throughout the day such as craft vendors, horseshoe pitch, straw bale toss, canoe races, and so much more.

Spend Saturday morning shopping at the Chillicothe Farmers Market! September mornings are always beautiful and there is no better way to spend it than enjoying the great weather and shopping local. At the Chillicothe Farmers Market you will find locally grown fruits, vegetables and plants. A wide variety of local vendors offering honey, coffee, and much more. Of course they also have homemade and home baked goods that are delicious!

This Saturday is also the 13th Annual Chili-Fest on Second Street. From 12:00-5:00 p.m. teams of four will be cooking chili for patrons and the judges panel. There will be awards given for Judges Favorite, People’s Choice and Best Booth. There will also be live music by Matt Salyers opening at noon and The Gravity Cats performing at 2:00 pm. The entry fee is just $5.00 and gets you a taste at every booth!  For tickets and for additional information please visit the Chillicothe Social Society’s Facebook Page. Proceeds from Chili-Fest benefits Rock for Tots.

This weekend is also the 33rd Annual Ross County Quilt Show presented proudly by the Ross County Quilt Guild. They will be having vendors, free demonstrations, and much more. They will also be raffling off a large, beautiful quilt! Admission is just $5.00 and raffle tickets can be purchased for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
