Join us for an evening dinner and fellowship at the Lucy Hayes Heritage Center to commemorate the 1852 marriage of future White House residents Lucy Ware Webb and Rutherford Birchard Hayes.

We are continuing our annual tradition of the Hayes’ post-Christmas wedding banquet at the Lucy House, on Saturday, December 30th, 2023.  This year it is the actual date of their wedding!  (The snow date will be a week later, January 6th.)

We will begin to gather for conversation and appetizers at 4, with dinner served at 5.  It should be light enough outside to comfortably head home after 6 pm.

Reserve your seat at $25 a person, with limited seating.  Please mail checks made out to “Friends of Lucy Hayes Heritage Center” to P.O. Box 1790, Chillicothe OH 45601.

Lucy Ware Webb and Rutherford Birchard Hayes were married at her mother’s house in Cincinnati in a simple ceremony on December 30, 1852.  Their wedding banquet was held the day after.
