Featuring Bruce Caplinger, retired corrections officer, professional  magician, and local sports authority & collector, Chillicothe

Bruce Caplinger is a lifelong native of Chillicothe.  His parents were professional magicians Lonnie and Wanda Caplinger.  Bruce took up the family profession at age ten and was a solo magician for 25 years.  He now performs with his wife Rebecca in an act known as B&B Magic and Balloons.  As a student at Chillicothe High School, Bruce played on the undefeated 1981 basketball team and is in the CHS Hall of Fame as a result.  He is a lifelong sports enthusiast whose hobby includes studying the stories of local athletes and collecting their sports memorabilia.  His presentation will focus on NBA Hall of Famer Neil Johnston, major league baseball players John Herrnstein, John Poff, and Scott Bailes; professional football players Greg Cook, Elbie Nickel, Dave Juenger, Garin Veris, and Ben Hartsock; and Olympic gold medalists Edward Tiffin Cook, Cindy Noble, Tokey Hill.
