Unioto and Southeastern are joining together with Schmidt’s Food Truck who is donating 10% of their profit to raise money for the traveling memorial The Eyes of Freedom. This memorial honors the 23 men who lost their lives in 2005 during deployment in Iraq. These men were part of the Lima Company Marine Reserve Unit out of Columbus, Ohio. Aaron Reed a graduate of Southeastern High School was one of the men who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Unioto school choir will be performing at 11:00 and Southeastern’s choir will be performing at 12:30. Seating near the food truck will be available for the performances. American Flag magnets will be sold during this event to help increase our donation. These are durable magnets that can be placed on vehicles. This traveling memorial runs on donations and we want to provide financial support so they can continue to share their important message across the United States. This fundraiser will take place on Monday September 27. The food truck will be set up by the Unioto Football Stadium starting at 10:30 am and ending at 6:30 pm. Orders can be placed 24 hours in advance by going to www.streetfinder.com/sausagetruck You will be able to select a pick up time and then go to the side of the truck and they will hand you your items. They will be bringing their traditional cream puff as well as an Anthony Thomas Toffee Cream Puff. Schmidt’s will also be selling individual sausages for you to take home and prepare as well as the meals prepared at the truck for you to enjoy.
