RCHS Holiday Children’s Program: “Keeping Warm in Early Ross County”
December 4, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Free – $10.00Join us at the Knoles Log House to learn how our ancestors kept warm when it got cold outside. From warm clothes for winter travel to warm bedding at night, we will explore the Museum’s collections for examples of keeping warm in the past. Then, through physical activities of work and play we will warm ourselves and work up an appetite for something warm to eat and drink heated on the coals of the Log House fireplace. Finally, we will make items to remind us of our time at the log house keeping warm the old fashioned way.
Space is limited for this popular program. Please register early by calling the Historical Society office between 9:00am-5:00pm weekdays and 12:00pm-5:00pm Saturdays. The deadline to register is Thursday, December 2nd.
Program is for children ages 6 through 12. Free for all Junior Members, $10.00 for all non-Junior Members.
