The Ross County Historical Society invites you to a Christmas open house at the Franklin House Museum. See this beautiful century old home furnished and decorated for a 1930s Christmas. Special exhibits will include a timeline of historic toys dating from the 1860s through the 1970s, historic Christmas cards from 1875 to 1935, photographs and advertisements of local stores and businesses where Chillicotheans once did their holiday shopping, and photos of historic holiday street scenes in the days before shopping malls. There will also be displays of popular period gifts and live performances of seasonal music by “The Silver Strings” dulcimer ensemble. Please join us for a fun afternoon as we walk down the memory lane of Christmas past.
