Mountain Heritage Fall Festival

An event every day that begins at 10:00 am, repeating until September 22, 2024
A family friendly event with yummy Amish foods, lots of crafters, kids games and crafts, hay rides, Smokey the Bear, a black powder shoot, cross cut saw competition, and more!
Friday, September 20th:
6:00p.m.- Corn Hole Tournament
*Meet at the Ross Hollow Campground Parking Lot. Adult CAMPERS only.
Prizes will be awarded.
7:30p.m – Karaoke Night with Live Wire Entertainment!
*Bring the whole family down to the Ross Hollow Parking Lot for karaoke and line dancing good times. Stick around for home-made caramel apples! (apples donated by Bob Bowers/ Laurelville Fruit House) J

12:00pm- 2:00pm- Atlatl Demonstrations at Shady Hollow Shelter! (N.A.Spear Throwing)
1:30p.m.- Smokey the Bear!
*Kids come on down to the Big Shelter House to meet with Smokey the Bear!
2:00p.m.- Kids Games at the BIG SHELTER HOUSE! Kids age 5 and under
3:00pm to 5:00pm – Kids can make their very own walking stick with Naturalist Sami.
4:00p.m.- Black Powder Shoot! .
5:00p.m.- Cross-Cut Saw Competition Hosted by Dan Wile, will be held at the BIG SHELTER HOUSE. Ages 12 and over with an adult are welcome to participate! Participants may enter the competition ONE TIME ONLY! Prizes
5:30p.m.- Fish Fry!
**Fish Sandwiches provided by the Tar Hollow Friends Group! $7 donation for a sandwich. $3 for fries and water will also be available.**
6:00p.m.- Tar Hollow Friends Group Chinese Auction– located at the Big Shelter House! Tickets will be available at the Big Shelter House throughout the day.
7:30p.m.-9:30p.m.- LIVE MUSIC!
*Come on down to the AMPHITHEATER and enjoy some local entertainment from “The Greater Goods”!. Enjoy the seating or bring your favorite camping chair to enjoy the show!
Sunday, September 17th:
10:00a.m.- Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest!! We will be ending the weekend on a fun note! Challenge your neighbor in our seed spitting contest! Meet at the GENERAL STORE!
