Adena Mansion and Gardens will be decorated in 19th century yuletide splendor and will surely put you in the holiday spirit! Step back 200 years in time for a special holiday event on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

While Adena is closed for the winter season, it re-opens for this special event for one weekend only. Guided tours of the beautifully decorated mansion will be offered on both days. Saturday’s tour features a “Christmas with the Worthington Family” theme while Sunday’s tour focuses on the ever popular and traditional Holidays at Adena tour.

The Tenant House will show off German traditions to reflect the heritage of many of the indentured servants who worked at Adena. Visitors will find a Christmas tree, handmade decorations, and German cookies and mulled cider, as well as a craft activity for children.

At the Visitor’s Center, live entertainment and refreshments will be offered. Glassware, books, historic children’s toys, and other unique items will be available for sale at the Adena gift shop. Elsewhere on the grounds, horse and carriage rides will be offered at an additional charge.

General admission to Holidays at Adena will be $9 for Adena Mansion & Gardens Society members and $10 for non-members. Tickets will be sold at the door. Mansion tour times are every one-half hour beginning at 10:30 am with the last tour of the day beginning promptly at 3:30 pm.
