Join the Scioto Valley Bird & Nature Club as Kevin Coleman leads a historical and geographical walk in Buzzard’s Roost Preserve on Monday, June 28th, 2021.

After the group’s monthly meeting at 7pm, Kevin will tell the story of the remnants of the historic homes, farms, and roads along the old Hoggard Trail…while allowing observation of wild plants, birds, amphibians, and other wildlife.

They plan to walk to the Hoggard Cemetery, and then by 9pm return to the group area at the end of Red Bird Lane, off Polk Hollow Road in Ross County.

As a part of the club’s meeting, the tour is free. The earthen trail is rolling with some possible wet spots. Binoculars, cameras, and bug spray are recommended. If the weather is rainy enough to require an umbrella, the tour will be postponed or cancelled.
