Schmidt’s Sausage Truck from German Village in Columbus is Coming to the Ross County Historical Society!

September 15, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Ross County Heritage Center located at 45 West Fifth Street in Chillicothe.

Come join us for a special day of food & fun as we celebrate the German heritage of Chillicothe and Ross County. Enjoy the sounds of The Goosetown Astonishers from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., while you feast on original German food prepared by the world-famous Schmidt’s restaurant located in German Village. Food will be available for purchase throughout the day while supplies last.

The event is a social gathering free and open to the public and will take place rain or shine. A large tent with tables and chairs will provide a pleasant setting for outside dining no matter what the weather brings.

There will also be a special temporary exhibit on local German culture inside the Heritage Center that you won’t want to miss!
