Frankfort Sunflower Festival Mullet and Beard Contest.
This is a free event to attend however contestants will have a registration fee.
$10 registration fee for contestants.
Proceeds from registration will go to Town Beautification.
Location: Main Stage at the Sunflower Festival
You can register on the day of the event from 11:00-11:30 am at the tent beside the main stage located at the Main and Springfield intersection.
Mullet Categories
12 and under
13-18
19 and older
1st-3rd place awards will be given to each age group.
Beard contest
Is open to anyone who can grow a beard.
Awards for 1st-3rd place will be given
Winners will be determined by a point system.
Size (10 points)
The overall length of the hair.
Beards will be measured from the bottom lip to the end of the longest hair follicle laying naturally not stretched.
Mullets will be measured from the top of the head to the longest hair follicle laying naturally not stretched.
Style and Presentation (20 points)
Contestants’ attitude, attention to the crowd, attire, and overall look
Dazzle (10 points)
How you portray yourself and your hairstyle through costume and stage presence.
Rules:
All mullets and facial hair must be grown by the participant. No fake hair, wigs, extensions, or artificial hair will be accepted.
This is a family event. No vulgar or non-family-friendly costumes are allowed.
