Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival
December 2, 2018 @ 2:00 pm
The Renaissance Singers and Friends present the annual Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival.
You will not want to miss the 24nd annual Renaissance Singers Christmas Concert. This year’s concert will be a special celebration which will include beautiful music, costumed characters, and a decidedly historical flavor. It will feature the age-old custom of the procession of the Boar’s Head and Yule Log, along with a cast of many other Medieval English characters who will present gifts befitting their stations to the Christ Child. The Renaissance Singers and their guests, including the CHS Symphonic Choir Trinity UMC Choir and Bell Choir, will provide glorious music to make this an experience to remember.
Following the sacred portion of the program, the singers will lead a procession to the St. Mary Parish Center for light refreshments and more music of the season. Selections for this part of the concert will include familiar secular tunes such as Jingle Bells, Here Comes Santa Claus, and other Christmas favorites.
There is no admission charge for this concert, but attendees will be able to participate in an offering – 100% of which will be shared by Habitat for Humanity and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Start your Christmas season with the sparkling holiday sounds of the Renaissance Singers.
