Adena Mansion & Gardens – Children’s Lecture Series

Does your child enjoy being outdoors and exploring nature? Adena Mansion & Gardens is proud to host Amy Fitton, Tar Hollow State Park naturalist, as she introduces the kids to some popular amphibians and gets them outside for some exercise and fresh air while they learn a thing or two about the ecosystem around the grounds of Adena, at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
This event is offered at no cost and is open to children of all ages. It is recommended everyone dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Registration is required and children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

Adena Mansion was the home of Ohio’s sixth governor, Thomas Worthington. Adena Mansion and Gardens Society manages the site on behalf of the Ohio History Connection. Adena is located at the south end of Adena Road, off Pleasant Valley Road, which is the first road off State Route 104, just north of the US 35 interchange at the north edge of Chillicothe.
Admission to Adena Mansion and Gardens is: $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $5 for children 6 and up, free for OHC and AMGS members and children under 5. Tours on Sundays begin at 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
