In an effort to provide families struggling with addiction, the Chillicothe Gazette and 10TV will present a special event with a veteran interventionist next month.

“A Community Intervention” with special guest Jeff VanVonderen, of A&E’s “Intervention” will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 at the YMCA of Ross County. The event will be hosted by Gazette editor Mike Throne and 10TV anchor Jerry Revish.

The event is free and open to the public, but in order for event planners to know how many people can be expected, please reserve seats at tickets.chillicothegazette.com.

If you are someone concerned about another person – whether it be a family member, a friend or acquaintance – you should make plans to attend.

The event is also supported by the Heroin Partnership Project, the Ross County Court of Common Pleas, Adena Health System, the Chillicothe-Ross County League of Women Voters and the YMCA of Ross County.
