The Friends of the Lucy Webb Hayes Heritage Center would cordially like to invite you to the Annual Anniversary Dinner. The event is being catered by Elegant Eats.
Hors D’oeuvres will be served at 4pm with the buffet style dinner served at 5pm and will include a salad, 2 entrees of meat, potatoes, and a vegetable. Desserts and Beverages are included.

Lucy Ware Webb first met Rutherford B. Hayes in 1844, when her brothers enrolled at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. Later Lucy and her mother moved to Cincinnati, Ohio when she enrolled in the Cincinnati Wesleyan Female College. When Rutherford moved to Cincinnati in 1850, his sister Fanny urged him to contact the Webb family. By chance that year, Lucy was a bridesmaid and Rutherford a groomsman for the same wedding party. After two years of courting, Lucy and Rutherford were married in her mother’s parlor on December 30, 1852.
