Experience the actual size and enormity of the Camp Sherman Cantonment as it was from 1917 to 1921. Each bus tour will begin at the Chillicothe High School with an orientation film. Produced from actual still photos and motion picture film taken in 1917 and 1918, this film will acquaint you with the facilities and massive size of Camp Sherman as well as the soldiers who trained there, the civilians who provided support, the 200 bed hospital that provided care, and much more.

A map brochure will be provided so that, as we traverse the base, you will be able to track the locations of major facilities. Your guide will provide background on each major site and the general layout of the base. You will also visit the last remaining structure, the Camp Sherman Library building. Here, you will also learn about the Sherman Cabins that are currently being produced.

This is a free event but tickets are required as space is limited to 30 seats per tour. Tours will be on the hour beginning at 1pm with the last tour at 3pm. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
