The History of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion (Atomic) Plant
Featuring Jeff Pinkerton & Marc Hill with Fluor-BWXT at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant, Piketon

Jeff Pinkerton currently serves as a Communication Specialist at the former Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Piketon. In that role, he is one of three official spokespersons for the company’s Emergency Management team and is a principal coordinator for major educational outreach efforts by the U.S. Department of Energy in southern Ohio. Marc Hill currently serves as an Environmental Scientist at the plant and has directed and managed environmental remediation projects at a host of Department of Energy sites. Together, Jeff and Marc will share the story of the plant site that played such a crucial role in our nation’s history and has been a major part of the southern Ohio community, including Chillicothe and Ross County, for more than sixty years.
