Adena Mansion & Gardens will re-open to celebrate the winter holidays and will be decorated in 19th century yuletide splendor. Enjoy a holiday-themed mansion tour and the many special events which will surely put you in the holiday spirit!

The scent of fresh-baked holiday cookies will permeate the air when pastry chef Jim Mitten, graduate of the Culinary Institute of Charleston, SC and formerly of The Biltmore Estate presents an informative two-part lecture November 27th concerning the traditions of holiday baking as part of “Holidays at Adena.” Mitten will present a discussion of recipes and baking techniques of old from10:30 AM to 11:30 PM Sunday, November 27th, followed by a 2:00 – 3:00 PM demonstration of the traditional bake oven within the tenant house, located on the grounds of Adena Mansion and Gardens. The event will begin with the lecture at the Visitor’s Center and culminate with the demonstration and a tasting of traditional holiday treats in the tenant house kitchen. This event is offered at no additional cost and is open to children of all ages. Advance registration is required, and children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
