About This Event

This Christmas season, Tabernacle Baptist Church invites the Chillicothe community and surrounding areas to experience His Star: A Guided Journey, an immersive, family-friendly event that brings the story of the birth of Jesus Christ to life.
Taking place December 3–5, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. nightly, this unique Christmas experience invites visitors to step into a recreation of ancient Bethlehem and discover the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of the world surrounding the first Christmas.
Located at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 221 East Main Street in Chillicothe, His Star: A Guided Journey offers guests more than a traditional Christmas program. Visitors will be welcomed into a bustling, time-inspired marketplace featuring friendly villagers, live performances, artisan-style selling booths, and ethnic foods designed to evoke the atmosphere of Bethlehem. The experience concludes with cozy Christmas music and hot chocolate, creating a memorable opportunity for families and friends to celebrate the season together.
Guests will travel through the experience in guided walking groups, allowing them to witness the Christmas story unfold along the way. Groups depart every 15 minutes throughout the event, with visitors selecting a preferred arrival time through the online ticketing website.
Designed for all ages, His Star: A Guided Journey offers an opportunity for families, church groups, community organizations, and individuals to come together and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of Jesus Christ.
The entire event is free. Reservations are encouraged, although walk-in guests are welcome during event hours. Free parking is available in the church’s attached parking lot and additional lots directly across the street. Accessibility accommodations, including elevator access and wider pathways, are available to help guests enjoy the experience.
Tabernacle Baptist Church welcomes the community to make His Star: A Guided Journey part of their Christmas traditions and share in an evening of faith, fellowship, and holiday wonder.
