A traveling quilt show designed in appreciation of the Underground Railroad\, and on loan from The King Arts Complex\, Columbus\, Ohio\, will also be on display.\nThe second show is the “Juneteenth Celebration\,” in collaboration with Ross County NAACP\, the City of Chillicothe\, and other organizations. This creative arts event will take place at the Majestic Theatre\, 45 E. Second Street\, Chillicothe. The 2024 national Juneteenth theme\, “Their Wildest Dreams\,” honors the history of our ancestors\, highlights present accomplishments\, and serves as our theme. This celebration will be June 22\, from 2 p.m. through 7:00 p.m.\nCj’s Fish and Chicken LLC food truck and a vendor’s fair will be onsite throughout the program. The main events begin at 3:00 p.m. with musical performances and poetry readings from local and surrounding area musicians and poets. SUMMARY:Earth Gathering Festival
DESCRIPTION:Earth Gathering is a juried-invitational art festival with an Earth Day theme designed to enlighten\, entertain\, and inspire the public with Earth-friendly art\, music\, food\, products\, and ideas. Applicants must reside within a 100 mile radius of Chillicothe and create hand made art or sell products that are inspired by nature or have a recycled or natural theme. The outdoor festival features approximately 40 vendor and organizational booths along with approximately 7 musical acts throughout the day with healthy food options available including Indigenous Chef from the Cincinnati area. All work entered is made by the artists. Local non-profit organizational booths in line with the event are also available. EG is hosted by the Chillicothe Art League\, which also hosts a corresponding art show inside the Pump House during the month of April and that show is open to artists within a 75 mile radius of Chillicothe.  EG is a family friendly event. Service Dog owners must provide and display full proof of certification (including proper dog attire) if entering festival area\, otherwise no pets allowed.
