DESCRIPTION:In 2001\, an idea formed in the minds of a few musicians in Knoxville\, Tennessee to create the most authentic tribute to one of the greatest bands in the world\, AC/DC. Shortly thereafter\, BIG/GUN was formed. Through hard work and dedication\, it became the most sought after tribute to AC/DC in America. SUMMARY:McGuffey Lane
DESCRIPTION:McGuffey Lane is a country rock band from central Ohio. In 1972 founding members Steve George Reis (bass/ vocals) and Terry Efaw (steel guitar/ gut string guitar/ electric guitar) were a duo called “Scotch and Soda”. When they added Bobby Gene McNelley (vocalist/ guitarist) they renamed themselves McGuffey Lane after the street of Steve’s Athens Ohio home. As their popularity grew they added Dick Smith (drums/ vocals) and Stephen “Tebes” Douglass (keyboards/ harmonica/ vocals). In 1977 McGuffey Lane started playing at Zachariah’s Red Eye Saloon and soon became the house band. At that point they added John Schwab (vocalist/ guitarist) who was opening for them as the sixth and final member of the original McGuffey Lane. \nMcGuffey Lane’s history mirrors one of the songs from their 2002 “Wood” album. “I’ve been up and down and all around my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground. Don’t you worry baby don’t you worry about me. Cause I’ve survived everything that comes and goes. I still know which way that old north wind blows. After all these years I’m “Runnin’ Wild and Free”. McGuffey Lane is still going strong with the three original surviving members (Steve George Reis\, Terry Efaw and John Schwab) in the band. McGuffey Lane still performs 20+ concerts annually. DESCRIPTION:JIMMY MOWERY GREW UP IN ALTOONA\, PA. AT AGE ELEVEN\, AFTER LOSING HIS FATHER TO A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY\, HE DECIDED TO FOLLOW HIS FATHERS DREAM OF BEING A PROFESSIONAL SINGER.\nOnce he taught himself how to play guitar\, he began writing songs as a way of getting out bottled up emotion. His band\, Like A Movie\, was signed to Audioshock Records a year after Jimmy graduated from high school. They toured the United States nonstop from 2005-2009\, and released a debut EP called “Say It Again.” The label put the full length album on hold for over a year and a half\, which caused the band to break up. In 2011\, Jimmy\, and his now wife Heather moved to Myrtle Beach\, SC. Since then\, he’s averaged two hundred plus shows a year in the region. DESCRIPTION:Authenticity and vulnerability are the two qualities twenty three year old\, Moose Miller strives for in his music. The Ohio native has Appalachian roots that run as deep as the hills themselves\, and his music is infused with an honesty and sincerity that seem to flow straight from his soul directly into his songs. He holds a deep reverence for the blood\, sweat\, and tears shed by those who work to carve out a living for themselves among the backwoods and hills he calls home. He draws much of his inspiration from his rural roots and upbringing as well as some in his musical heroes – Tyler Childers\, Zach Bryan and The Isaacs. \nGrowing up in rural Pike County\, Miller developed an early love for music in church. His father is a pastor\, and he was raised on the soulful sounds of Southern gospel and bluegrass. Along with singing and playing guitar in church\, the biggest thing in his early life though\, was sports. Moose\, a talented athlete\, landed in Nashville on a basketball scholarship from 2019-2021. He discovered a creative outlet in songwriting during that time\, and fell in love with songwriting. After meeting Jennifer Rai\, Moose signed a music publishing/artist development deal with ginmarc entertainment in fall of 2022. He went into the studio early 2023\, recorded his first project with producer Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood\, Rascal Flatts) and has released four singles to all streaming services. “Where The Wild Things Are” “Time That Kills” “Lovin’Me” and his latest release\, “Happily Die” have gained over 130\,000 streams in less than 3 months. SUMMARY:McGuffey Lane
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the completion of the HVAC for the theatre in the now air conditioned building with a great night of music from McGuffey Lane! \nMcGuffey Lane is a country rock band from central Ohio. In 1972 founding members Steve George Reis (bass/ vocals) and Terry Efaw (steel guitar/ gut string guitar/ electric guitar) were a duo called “Scotch and Soda”. When they added Bobby Gene McNelley (vocalist/ guitarist) they renamed themselves McGuffey Lane after the street of Steve’s Athens Ohio home. As their popularity grew they added Dick Smith (drums/ vocals) and Stephen “Tebes” Douglass (keyboards/ harmonica/ vocals). In 1977 McGuffey Lane started playing at Zachariah’s Red Eye Saloon and soon became the house band. At that point they added John Schwab (vocalist/ guitarist) who was opening for them as the sixth and final member of the original McGuffey Lane. \nMcGuffey Lane’s history mirrors one of the songs from their 2002 “Wood” album. “I’ve been up and down and all around my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground. Don’t you worry baby don’t you worry about me. Cause I’ve survived everything that comes and goes. I still know which way that old north wind blows. After all these years I’m “Runnin’ Wild and Free”.
