SUMMARY:Sand in the Streets
DESCRIPTION:Adena Health Systems\, Herrnstein Auto Group\, and Fifty West present year five of “Sand in the Streets” volleyball tournament!!! Downtown Chillicothe is back to unload 300 tons of sand on the streets in downtown and welcome volleyball teams and spectators back for a day of competition\, fun\, and as close to a beach experience in Chillicothe as you will find.  Year five will host 8 semi-professional teams\, 8 competitive teams\, 32 recreational teams and four courts!  This year Sand in the Streets will be a free event for the community.

DESCRIPTION:Downtown Chillicothe presents BeachFest!  Let’s make use of the sand before the Sand in the Streets volleyball tournament takes over on Saturday.  Join us downtown on N Paint Street\, Friday August 15th\, from 7:30p – 10:30pm to listen to great music\, enjoy awesome friends and support the downtown.  Stay tuned for our announcement on who the live music will be this year.  This is a family friendly event; we will provide lots of sand toys for the little ones to enjoy and we encourage you to take off your shoes and dance in the sand!  Hope to see you down on the “beach”!!

SUMMARY:Battle on the Beach
DESCRIPTION:Before Sand in the Streets takes over on Saturday August 16th\, Battle on the Beach will return for its 2nd year on Friday August 15th.  This is a chance for the local area high school volleyball teams to get involved and battle it out on the sand!  Only it’s NOT the players competing\, it’s their coaches and family members.   They will be battling it out for a chance to win $1000 for their child’s school volleyball program.  In 2024\, Southeastern High School took home the trophy\, who’s it going to be in 2025?  Come support your favorite school!  High school kids attending the games can enter for a chance to win an iPad\, 2 iPads will be given away this evening.  Battle on the Beach will take place on N Paint\, Friday August 15th from 5:30p – 7:30p.  Don’t leave after the games\, BeachFest will then take over immediately after.  See you on the “beach”!

Mark your calendars for the last Saturday in August and join us downtown for more fun in the sand and come cheer on your favorite team.
