What is pigs for pennies?
The event is meant to get our kids involved in raising money for the community of Chillicothe. The proceeds of this event will go directly to the Ross Chillicothe Community foundation and designated specifically towards the build out of a splash pad in the Yoctangee Park.
Here Is How It Works
You purchase one Captain Piggy Bank and sign your child up to attend one of the class times being held at Nellie Dog Pottery and Paints. You are paying for the cost of the pig and glaze. Nellie Dog has everything else covered.
You purchase one Captain Piggy Bank and sign your child up to attend one of the class times being held at Nellie Dog Pottery and Paints. You are paying for the cost of the pig and glaze. Nellie Dog has everything else covered.
Once the piggy bank is glazed, Nellie Dog Pottery and Paints will fire the pigs and then sit them on display for voting. Customers will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite bank by dropping change into the bank of their choice. Voting occurs from July 1 to July 30.
On July 30th the banks will be taken down to the Mighty Pottery Throwdown event and will be optionally included in a silent auction. If you don’t want to be included in the silent auction, no worries we will just take it to the throwdown so it can be voted on with change. It is you and your Childs decision to include or not include it in the silent auction.
The pig with the most money will get a $25 GC to come paint at Nellie Dog Pottery and Paints but don’t worry each pig will be a winner of prizes.
All change collected in each pig and any proceeds from the silent auction will be donated directly back to the Ross Chillicothe Community foundation and the splash pad funds.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS FUNDRAISER WILL GO DIRECTLY INTO THE FUNDS BEING RAISED TO BUILD A SPLASH PAD IN THE YOCTANGEE PARK.
