It’s summer, and wildlife is living it up! So are we at the Buzzard’s Roost Nature Preserve. Join local poets Kathleen and Jack Burgess, naturalist Joe Letsche, and Columbus poets Rikki Santer and Jennifer Hambrick for a walk past vernal pools, the Paint Creek overlook, a pond full of rambunctious frogs, and poetry outdoors. There’s an “open mike” session afterward, so bring your favorite nature poem to read and jump into the action!

-Plan on arriving around 5:30ish to give yourself a few extra minutes to walk up the paved road to the shelter house (on the right) and shake off the daily grind.  We’ll begin at 6:05pm.
-Wear good shoes for trail walking and bring your water bottle.  (We’ll have a cooler for refills.)
-Kids are welcome, but this one might bore them to death.  We do have one geared for kids coming up in the near future!
