The Ohio University-Chillicothe theatre program will host auditions for the “10-Minute Play Festival – An Evening of Short Plays by the renowned playwright Lisa Soland." Roles are available for male and female actors ages 18-80, and the audition is open to all area actors. Each evening’s performance includes nine plays, with six OU-C students filling the various roles. Tickets are available at the OU-C Bennett Hall box office on the evening of the performances 30 minutes before the show. The short plays are the work of renowned playwright Lisa Soland and center on the theme of relationships. The Ohio University-Chillicothe theater program will host auditions for the play Almost, Maine, by John Cariani. Area actors, from both the campus and local communities, are welcome to audition. Archeologist Bret J. Ruby, Ph.D., will discuss "Ohio's Ancient Earthworks: From World Center Shrines to World Heritage Sites." Ruby is chief of resource management at Hopewell Culture National Historical Park. This is a play about Moises Kaufman and members of New York's Tectonic Theater Project, who went to Laramie, Wyo. after the murder of Matthew Shepard.
