Residents of Bainbridge and the scenic Paint Creek Valley are proud of their rich heritage. The Bainbridge Historical Society, which began in 1978, now operates and maintains the Dr. John Harris Dental Museum (the first dental school in the United States), which offers free admission during the Fall Festival of Leaves. The Society has also acquired many local artifacts to display in their very own Bainbridge Historical Society Museum, located in the former Presbyterian Church on North Maple Street. During the Fall Festival of Leaves, please stop by this museum to view the various exhibits.
