Friday, September 20th:

6:00p.m.- Corn Hole Tournament

*Meet at the Ross Hollow Campground Parking Lot. Adult CAMPERS only.

Prizes will be awarded.

7:30p.m – 9:30p.m.- LIVE MUSIC!

Come on down to the Ross Hollow Campground Parking Lot and enjoy some local entertainment from our very own Tyler Stump and his band “The Northwood High’s”. Bring your favorite camping chair to enjoy the show! Stick around for home-made caramel apples! J

 

Saturday, September 21st:

Meet a local Native American and learn more about Native American History and Culture! (Children make a necklace to take home.)

Take a walk back in time at the Mountain Man Encampment and try your hand at hatchet throwing!

 

10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. and 3:00p.m.- 4:00p.m.- KIDS CRAFTS AND FACE PAINTING!

*Meet your children to the BIG SHELTER HOUSE to try their hand at creating some old- fashioned games and fun folk art! Stick around to have their faces painted by Miss. Matty Fout!

 

10:00a.m.- Horse Shoe Pitching Contest at the BIG SHELTER HOUSE! Prizes!

**Men and Women- separate competitions for each!**

 

12:00 p.m. Beans and Cornbread!

*Meet at the Big Shelter House to enjoy beans and cornbread prepared by Edna Yoder. A small donation is appreciated and would go to support the Local Salt Creek Parochial School.

 

1:30p.m.- Smokey the Bear!

*Kids come on down to the Big Shelter House to meet with Smokey the Bear!

 

2:00p.m.- Kids Games at the BIG SHELTER HOUSE!  Kids ages 5 and under:  Saw Dust Scramble.  Kids ages 6-18: Fun filled Old Time Games.

 

4:00p.m.- Black Powder Shoot! Hosted by members of the “Sons of Liberty” at the SHADY HOLLOW SHELTER. All Shooters are welcome! Prizes.

 

5:00p.m.- Cross-Cut Saw Competition Hosted by Dan Wile, will be held at the BIG SHELTER HOUSE. Ages 12 and over with an adult are welcome to participate! Participants may enter the competition ONE TIME ONLY!

 

5:30p.m.- Fish Fry!

**Fish Sandwiches provided by the Tar Hollow Friends Group! $5 donation requested**

 

6:00p.m.- Tar Hollow Friends Group Chinese Auction located at the Big Shelter House! (Friends Group Members will be at all events selling tickets! Tickets will also be available at the Big Shelter House throughout the day!)

 

7:00p.m.-10:00p.m.- LIVE MUSIC!

Sunday, September 22nd:

11:00a.m.- Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest!! We will be ending the weekend on a fun note! Challenge your neighbor in our seed spitting contest! The farthest shot will win a free night of camping!!!!   Prizes for kid spitters too! Meet at the GENERAL STORE!
