Human Trafficking Panel Discussion at OU-C

April 10, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Ohio University Chillicothe Health, Wellness, & Safety Committee is hosting a Human Trafficking Panel Discussion in the Bennett Hall Auditorium on Weds., 4/10/19 from 11am-12pm. Panelists will include Julie Fairchild & Sarah Akber – SANE/Forensic Nursing; Heather Welshimer & Samantha Rearly – Survivor  Advocacy Program; Julie Oates – Child Protective Center; Bud Lytle – Chillicothe Police Detective; and Melissa Callaway – Human Trafficking Survivor.

Ohio ranks 4th in the nation for reported human trafficking. It impacts more people in our community and surrounding area than we realize. Because of this we feel it is important to make information available regarding signs of human trafficking and how to help those who may be affected by it. The event is free & open to the public.
