First Ladies Symposium

The history department at OU-Chillicothe and the Ross County Heritage Center will be holding a symposium on some of our country’s first ladies, including our own Lucy Webb Hayes. Registration is required and a catered lunch will be served.

“Lemonade Lucy, Her Predecessors, and Her Successors” by Dr. Katherine Jellison, Professor and Chair of History at the Ohio University

“A person in her own right [and] a charming woman: Image Making in Jacqueline Kennedy’s White House” by Dr. Karen Dunak, Associate Professor of History at the Muskingum University

“Who Elected Her?” by Eryn Kane, History Ph.D. candidate at Ohio University

The Lucy Hayes Heritage Center will be open for tours from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
