Meet at the Appalachian Forest Museum

Mary Jane Ward will introduce her work and talk about her path as an artist, one that went from professional ballet dancer to the world of classical realism in painting. A past participant of The Hudson River Fellowship, she will share how that experience affected her as an artist and helped to shape her current interest in the relationship between environmental conservation and landscape painting. Weather permitting, she will paint a demonstration outdoors on the deck of the museum.
