Annual Wildflower Pilgrimage
April 13, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 4:00pm, repeating until April 15, 2017
The Pilgrimage is the Arc’s largest, oldest and most popular annual event. Staged at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary, it is a weekend that salutes to the most stunning wildflower displays in all of Ohio. The event offers two-days of naturalist-guided field trips to the finest floral showcases in south-central Ohio, two evening programs, and full meals. It also provides great company as we share our love of nature together and immerse ourselves in Ohio’s most breathtaking of natural spectacles.
A Photography Workshop led by professional photographer and author, Tom Croce, is also offered this year, concurrent with the Pilgrimage. The workshop’s indoor sessions will be held in the comfortable ambience of beautiful Whispering Springs, one of the Sanctuary’s newest facilities located roughly one mile south of the Appalachian Forest Museum. Participants will put into practice their newly learned skills by visiting and photographing the various trails within the 2200-acre Highlands Nature Sanctuary.
