Create a Holiday Tradition

Create a Holiday Tradition

Holidays are a great time to spend with the family and have fun and make memories for generations. One of the ways to capture those memories is to create a tradition for your family to do year after year. Make sure to capture those memories with your camera or smartphone. You can always use those images to create special gifts for everyone at the holidays.

One of the great opportunities is coming up again this weekend with horse-drawn carriage rides in downtown Chillicothe and in Central Center. Capture those memories with your children as you take one of these scenic rides. The carriage rides in downtown will be held on Friday & Saturday and Central Center’s rides will take place on Saturday.

IMG_2140Have you had your annual photo with Santa? This weekend Santa will be making appearances in the downtown Santa house, at Coffee Central, Huntington Township Fire Department, and Colerain Township Fire Department. Grab an image of the whole family with Santa each year as a tradition to show others that you’ve all been good! (This may or may not increase the amount of gifts/coal you receive.)

Another great tradition that many already hold is a family trip around Ross County andIMG_2142 Chillicothe to see the wonderful light displays. Many of the businesses downtown have decorated their windows, buildings and Yoctangee Park is lit up for the holidays. This makes for a great evening with the family – the kids will definitely enjoy seeing all the lights and decorations.

We hope this will help you create some new traditions and memories for your family. If you experience any of these suggestions – we’d love to see your photos! We may even feature some of the photos on our social media pages. To submit your images please send them to info@visitchillicotheohio.com make sure to include your name and location of the photo.
