Fourth annual tourism banquet
The Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau will be holding their 4th Annual Tourism Banquet on May 8, 2017. This banquet is held to recognize the “Best of the Best in Hospitality” in our local tourism industry and serves as the kick-off event to this year’s tourism season.

You can recognize your employees, co-workers, volunteers and your managers for their excellence in the industry by completing the nomination form. Examples of how the nominee went above and beyond in the job duties used in the nomination form should be instances that have taken place within the past calendar year.
Nominations will be reviewed by an impartial panel of judges. To keep the panel impartial, please do not include the nominee’s name or property’s name anywhere besides where instructed on the form.
During the banquet, the Ross-Chillicothe CVB would like to recognize the “best of the best” in hospitality in Ross County. We present an award in the following categories:
- Director / Inn Keeper of the Year
- Front Line Associates of the Year
- Behind the Scenes Associate of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year

Joy Gough was the recipient of the 2016 Grand Pineapple Award.

Justin Flitton, Catering Manager for Quality Inn received Front Line Associate of the Year award.

Richard Doliber, Night Maintenance / Grounds for Tecumseh Outdoor Drama received the Behind the Scenes Associate of the Year award.

Michael Beery, Volunteer for the Tri-County Triangle Trail received the Volunteer of the Year award.
2016 Promotional assistance program
One of the many things the Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau does for our community is the Promotional Assistance Program. This program is open to non-profits/for-profit organizations, attractions and individual events that take place in Ross County. This program allows the bureau to participate in the community by offering cooperative funding to eligible candidates to promote their activity.
Melody Young (Ross-Chillicothe CVB Executive Director) and David Polk (Ross-Chillicothe CVB Board President) present organizers for the overnight relay race, “The Buck Fifty” with awarded funds of $2,000 through the Promotional Assistance Program.
Fred Ashbrook and Brooke Ashbrook accept the Promotional Assistance check on behalf the Donald L. Soccer Complex. The complex will be bringing additional tournaments to Chillicothe with the funds received.
Courtney Lewis (Vice-President / Mighty Children’s Museum) accepts the Promotional Assistance check for $1,000 from Melody and David.
